You actually don't need to. I have a surround system and the game is quiet. I even turned the main SFX volume down and music vokuke up in order to understand the radio and then volume up the system. Weird, isn't it?

The same here. Would be interesting to know if mostly Americans have problems. That is what I am guessing. European players have no such problems, it seems.

Where do you all come from?
I play in Germany with mostly random Germans (player search automatic?) for a total of 7 or 8 hours over two days, having an occasional lag or online tutorial freeze but after then smooth sailing.
