I know many people with aries and reliants still on the road. Many are in great shape with over 200k on the clock.
They’re comfortable. They’re damn near bullet-proof. They can be had in a Turbo. Parts are cheap. Repairs are easy. The turbo motor can easily make 300+hp.
I just wish they would stop the taillights at the top of the quarter, instead of extending them to the roof.

Problem isn’t the car per-say, it’s that the average Camry owner is anything but an enthusiast.
“enthusiast”=/= RWD.
His point was if you buy any appliance vehicle with the point of a suitable daily, but still have the aspiration to have or build an “enthusiast” vehicle, you can still be an enthusiast. If you buy an appliance vehicle and never strive for more, you are not.
