I think people are just looking for reasons to complain about Pete at this point and this is more to do with certain progressives not liking that he’s bourgeois.

“Maybe they are to people who haven’t paid attention to the ways of gays in the first place”

Yes, a huge chunk of the Midwest, South, and West fits that description. Depending on what your long term political aspirations are, talking in a way that connects to voters does matter a bit.

lol shut up, troll nerd

I know nothing about Ted Lasso, but I know a lot of lesbians in real life, and I’ve witnessed some breakups so toxic it would knock you back 5 feet. Having a messy queer breakup just seems like maybe someone in the writers’ room knows what they’re talking about.

All of this.

Are queer characters supposed to be immune against being flawed? If anything the trope is that lesbians are portrayed as completely saintly. Then TV shows run out of ideas and make them into literal saints by killing them off.

They 100% cheated on each other.

I’m betting it was the other way around. Now that she’s an incumbent congresswoman, she probably has access to a lot better quality stock of dudes who make more money and probably smell better than her highschool drop out soon-to-be-ex-husband.

Starting to think people who hate this show just hate joy.

Homer already has a spirit guide.

Because I highly doubt that the DA feels he could get a jury to convict him on any type of intentional homicide charge.  Charging him with a crime that doesn’t fit or they cannot convict on does nobody any favors and wastes a shitload of taxpayers money.

100% . Dems are objectively the better party for whatever it’s worth, but they insist on bringing a stack of papers to a gun fight.

I think that’s under the “if the victim is black” clause.

“because people work really hard to create some sort of cushion for their lives.”

I feel like there’s hostility being read into some fairly bland, tongue-in-cheek tweets/signs. I suppose “see you on the picket line” is kind of passive-aggressive, but that’s about it. Portraying it as “WGA assholes make delightful young actor a scapegoat for their strike” kind of reveals the writer’s sympathies.

Two things can be true: the writing on Wednesday was not good, and also even mediocre writers don’t deserve to be treated like temp workers.

she’s been a working actor since she was like 3, she knows as well as anyone that writers get shafted constantly, don’t get paid like she does, and are the first to be smeared, degraded and fired. You don’t just “change the lines’ because you’re the star of the show; you’re not quite Julia Roberts or Bryan Cranston

You guys forgot to mention Noam Chomsky, who was at one of the dinners with Woody Allen and Soon-Yi.

Gee, I hope this sensible common sense doesn’t start to really pervade the media. The internet’ll get a lot more boring.

More people need to have this attitude.
