Well, it makes a big difference for all the other stuff I do. I'm a 3D modeler working in the games industry so quad-core really helps with rendering levels in Unreal, etc. Sure, it doesn't make the biggest difference in the world for games, but I'm surprised that such a high-end laptop wouldn't have it.
