Also, Hogg’s remark that anyone who had seen his performance in Fiddler on the Roof would know he’s not a good enough actor to be a crisis actor was really sharp. I like this kid.

John Mulaney on tweens:
My thoughts exactly. Even if the students didn’t respond at all it would still be “adult tough guy thinks it’s a good idea to beat up victims of the latest school massacre”. To some, that may not be such a bad thing - hey, kids! know your place! welcome to the real world! - but then when the kids smoothly and…
Like...you guys do understand that other studios are withholding their back catalog deliberately from Netflix, either because other streaming services are paying more for exclusive rights or because they have plans to cut out the middleman and start their own streaming services, right? I mean, you keep using the words…
That’s interesting, because my friends and family have an understanding that texts will not be responded to right away, and THAT’S part of the reason why they’re superior to calls. ESPECIALLY during work hours, I have a strict “do not contact” rule
This is the only right answer.
Christ, I would hate to be with someone who demanded instant responses to texts.
I can understand time-sensitive texts, but my wife and I mostly call each other if we need an answer on something quickly. If we text each other, it’s largely information that can either wait, or that we aren’t expecting an immediate…
They are a testament to what public schools can produce if students have support at home and in well-funded schools.
Try not using a 1940s-era fascist front group as your username. It would make your comments more credible.
This piece is objectively kinder to Ivanka than she deserves
That is not how I saw it. Any violence by Wood or Linskey is accidental up until their own health is threatened. I think Linskey's character was just looking to get the stuff she deemed important back and to get an apology from the burglar for invading her home. It just spiraled out of control.
I was wandering through Hollywood Forever Cemetery last weekend and happened across a gravestone surrounded by a TON of flowers and notes. It was his, and it made me really sad to remember he's gone. So talented. Green Room was prob my favorite film of 2016.
I hope the Ain't Rights can continue to make soundtrack appearances, even though Anton Yelchin is dead. Although they may be the real band that the group from Green Room is named after.
I have a childhood friend who never grew up that, minus any sort of physical attractiveness, could have slotted directly in EW's role in this film. Those people are fcking real, throwing stars and everything. Usually with pet reptiles as well.
Me too yet I enjoyed the shock the most. That bus sequence? I scared my roommates from me shouting out loud from it. Fuck. That dudes' throat…
Disagree. Its very shaggy but strangely compelling with characters I cared about it. I even found it surprisingly moving at the end. Is it great? I don't think so but I liked it. Here's my ranking.
I found it utterly charming and hilarious. This felt like an especially great late-night cable find that you didn't know you were missing. It's clearly a goofier tale, but at least in the same universe as GREEN ROOM, as the Ain't Rights are on the soundtrack (with some other great jams). I LIKED THIS MOVIE.
Funny, I also thought it resembled one of the Cohen Bros' lesser shaggy-dog films, only with more violence and less forced quirkiness, and ultimately I thought this had more relatable characters and less cynicism (surprisingly). I actually found it quite moving by the end.
I watched this last night and I strongly disagree that it feels like just a pale imitation of Coen Brothers classics. I never once found the film to veer into cartoonishness; the whole thing just felt like the heightened reality you'd find in the other films that so clearly are an influence. No, it's not as good as…
