I think Caroline hit the nail on the head when she said in the review that so much of the Alex/Maggie storyline works better on paper than in practice. Both of the actresses are great, but even a great actor can’t make all the times they have to make subtext into text work.

As a big fan of The La’s, the show really needs to knock it off with “There She Goes” all the goddamn time.
