VR chat is wildly popular, and that’s not a game really. Difference though is that VR chat lets people live the fantasy of being whatever you want, and doing whatever you want. That’s appealing. Nobody wants to be a VR version of themselves. Nobody wants Facebook’s bland sterile version of VR.  And their idea that

As long as we have animal testing, this is gonna be an issue.  Animal testing by it’s very nature causes inflicted suffering.  But....I also don’t know what the solution to this is.  Most medical breakthroughs require animal testing.  I know I’ve benefitted from things that caused countless animals to suffer in the

Is this Cactus Plant thing something popular now?  I’ve never heard of it til this. Am I just even more old and out of touch then I previously realized?  I went to their website and there seems to be 3 things for sale, one of which is a 75 dollar towel.

You’d be surprised. Friend of mine lives in a rural area that isn’t even THAT far out, and the only thing she can get is really awful satellite internet.

I think the last game I bought at release and full price was Kingdom Hearts 3, because I had been waiting so long and am a huge fan.  Pretty much everything else?  I can wait.  It usually (unless it’s Nintendo) doesn’t even take that long to drop in price.

I just wonder if it will have the same impact watching it, rather then playing it. I’m sure there will be people having never played the game that will give the anime a shot.  The final credits moved me to tears in large part because of realizing what was happening.  Then getting asked if you ALSO want to help some

2b eats a fish.  Which to be fair, was delicious.

I think it’s important to remember this entire thing started from a joke somebody made on Reddit.  The OP didn’t know the guy, and wasn’t even suggesting he seriously did this.  It was entirely meant as a joke.

Now playing

This scene from Haruhi has stuck with me all these years, because I went through the same thing.

Last election, I looked at this big map that broke down how people in all the states voted by county and every single state had at least a few areas of blue in them.  Every state except for West Virginia.  It was 100%, solidly red.

Even as someone who considers themselves a fan of AC...it’s too much for me.  They’re really bad about oversaturating their own market.  But at least it means it doesn’t take long for them to be on sale for like 15 dollars where I’ll eventually get around to playing them.

Now that I’m older, I just have so much less tolerance for games that are so overwhelming in scope.  Kudos to those that enjoy it, but a massive open world with that much to do exhausts me to even think about.

I’d say to play the Ezio trilogy (Assassins Creed 2, Brotherhood, and Revelations).  They’re old games, so they can be a bit....janky.  But Ezio is a really great character and the games span most of his life, which is really neat.  They strike a good balance of being an open world with a lot to do and explore without

Except pretty much nobody NOW thinks nfts are cool...aside from a small group of grifters and the delusional.

Interspecies Reviewers is one of the more sex positive anime I’ve ever watched...and that really surprised me. Everything is consensual, and while it’s also transactional it’s just another form of entertainment in that world and so there isn’t really any shame in being a sex worker. Also while they do “review” the

Every few years for as long as I can remember (and I’m in my 30s) widespread adoption of VR has been “just around the corner”.  It fades out then comes into focus again.  I’m not exactly holding my breath this time around either.

Mostly because not all states have common law marriage, so if something goes bad, you can get very screwed over.  Legally you’re “just” the girlfriend/boyfriend.  You might not get a say in medical decisions if they are unable to make them themselves.  You may not get a say in funeral decisions, especially if they

Streaming and the culture around streamers has definitely been one of the biggest “well...guess I’m old and no longer ‘with it’ “ things.

There’s also though the issue that a LOT of people also play on console, especially in Japan, and they don’t want to make it so that PC players have such an advantage.  People have had hugely heated arguments over this, and saying console players aren’t at the same tier as PC players, but the point still stands that

If a game is available both on Switch and PS, I’ll get the Switch version for that very reason. Some part of my brain is like “you could totally play this on a plane!” despite the fact that I’ve barely even gone anywhere the past couple years. What I really want, and I don’t know if it’s even technologically possible,
