Honestly if “irresponsible with money” was a good enough reason to put someone in a financial conservatorship, half of America would have one.  People are allowed to fuck up...even people who may have a mental illness.  And if they do, it’s on them.  That’s life.  I’m all for giving people the help they need if they

All my nerd friends, both irl and online are super into them.  All 30 somethings who watched Toonami as teenagers.  I have no idea if that’s the main demographic or anything, but boy howdy are there a lot IN that age group.

It makes me sad to read this, because it honestly DOES get much better. Shadowbringers in particular is one of my favorite things I’ve ever played. The game really is handicapped by the 1-50 ARR stuff, which truthfully is not great in a lot of ways, even after they trimmed some of it. It’s not a good representation of

I mean, there’s a huge problem with getting some PC parts right now too. So if you needed to upgrade right now you might still be feeling the crunch.

My freezer broke and same issue...NOBODY had freezers. Not even an estimate as to when they would get more. Ended up paying to fix the old one despite really not wanting to, since it was around 20 years old and almost as expensive to fix as a new freezer would have been.

I’ve owned every playstation (minus the 5), and the ONLY one I’ve had issues with are the PS4 ones. I’ve had 3 now, and they are not cheap.  One controller died on me right in the middle of a dungeon in Final Fantasy XIV, causing me to just run in a circle.

For me it’s that so many anime either take place in highschool, or in general are about teenagers, and I’m so far removed from adolescent woes and angst that it’s just not all that compelling.  There’s exceptions of course, sometimes a good show is a good show no matter it’s setting.  I wish there were more shows

As much as I hate to admit it, I think I’ve started to age out of anime.  Not all anime, but I just am no longer the target demographic for a lot of these shows.  It isn’t really that anime has gotten “worse” so much as it is I don’t really relate to a lot of them anymore.

It did.  I can’t imagine many worse ways to watch a movie.  It was a fun “I can’t believe this actually works” novelty though.

The DS Netflix never made any sense. It was a “holy crap this actually works” novelty but the absolute worst possible way one could watch Netflix. I can’t imagine anyone used it with any frequency unless everything else with a screen they owned simultaneously broke. I don’t think enough people owned a Wii U in

They never really impress me...but I somehow end up playing a ton of them because they’re often so heavily discounted.  And at like 10 bucks, they’re enjoyable enough usually.

I was in the Avatar section of Animal Kingdom once, and overheard these two parents talking and they mentioned something about the movie. Their kid, who was like 12ish, turned to them and was like “wow, I didn’t know this was from a movie!”  (Weird side fact, the cast members there refer to the movie as a documentary,

I mean in this case....the PS5 isn’t even a year old yet, so it’s way too soon to be in the “why haven’t you upgraded?” argument....you can’t really even find one.  And while yes, the first installment of the 7 remake was late into the PS4 lifespan, I don’t think it’s too much to ask for DLC for that game to also be

86% is not nearly high enough for me to consider.  I know that’s “typical” use and the commercial I saw said that as directed was in the 90s but....still.  It’s a big nope from me.

All of the actual story is in a novel....for some baffling reason. I watched a synopsis of the novel on YouTube and it actually seems like an interesting story! It’s just too bad literally none of it is in the game, making for a head scratching experience where you have just no clue what is going on.

Balan it’s self was never mobile, but rather his first thought was to make mobile games in general, and was convinced to make an action console game instead.

One of the greatest things to me is playing Half Life 2 episode 1 in commentary mode, and them talking about why episodic is so great because they can put content out faster.....
Also man, reading some of these comments on the Gamespot article are hilarious. “over 3 years later and we haven’t seen a damn screenshot

It honestly read more like fanfic to me.  I don’t entirely trust the word of one guy saying “this was the plot” and just taking his word for it.

Half Life is one of my favorite games of all time. It really doesn’t help that Episode 2 ended on a cliffhanger. I’d given up all hope since the people who cared about the game are largely in their late 30s or 40s, many don’t even play games any more. An entire generation grew up in the meantime. But then Alyx came

I actually have a completely opposite opinion, a lot of what you point out as flaws are what I actually like about it. I loved that feeling of not knowing what the hell was going on. Being just some guy having the word’s worst day at work and knowing exactly what you as Gordon would have known at any given point. I
