My neighbors, and they ARE shitty but mostly for other reasons, often park thier cars on my side of the street, even though there’s nothing in their garage, driveway, or own side of the street preventing them from doing so. Not a BIG deal, but when I want to park MY vehicles on the road for any reason, I cannot…
I have the worst instaKarma moment. I was driving in Brooklyn on the BQE on my way back home when 2 asshats that had been weaving around traffic with their 10K hid kits in halogen reflector housings I could see from a mile back decided to pass on the entrance/exit ramp. Mind you I was in the Right lane and not left…
I actually wonder why they haven’t done this with a DCT yet. Essentially what I was thinking was all “manual” controls are actually drive by wire. Hang an inverted “J” off of first gear for “drive” be and then the “normal” H pattern would actually just drop the trans into that gear. (Neutral could also serve as park…
The car’s an automatic, but there’s also an H-pattern shifter, like you’d find in any manual transmission car. You can shift gears once you put it into manual mode without needing a clutch. Kind of like using paddle shifters, but with a stick.
I think how it’s implemented makes a huge difference. I actually like how it is in my Audi, vs how it works in the Mazda for my wife. The Mazda and many other cars I know have warning beeps, chimes and stuff. In the Audi, I have a light on my mirror for blind spot stuff, and it doesn’t beep at all, just lights up if…
That’s why I do to, unfortunately people here bash anyone that is leasing because they sucks at basic maths.
I agree with the logic, hence I tend to lease my cars (with very high residuals, strongly discounted capital cost, and low interest rates). But I have to be realistic here, probably >80% of the market that leases or takes a 84 month loan, just gets the car they want with no real regard of total price, interest or long…
Let’s look at it from another angle.
If the 18 y/o never check into the flight, they were likely flagged as a no-show and their seat reassigned to a stand-by passenger. The stand-by passenger probably got to their assigned seat, saw a car seat occupying the seat instead, and asked a flight attendant what was going on.
As a very frequent flyer and one who hates the airlines, I don’t think I can take the side of the family here. Once then 18 year old got on that other flight his seat was forfeited.
You don’t check-in your seat gets resold- not exactly a new process
My sympathy for people with this shit is rapidly starting to wane. He agreed to a contract and then he chose not to follow it.
