That’s only because the image viewed here is small. At full resolution you can see all the tiers and the led lights draped over each section acting as the screen. It was also neat to see all the rain clouds swirl around the building in real time.

Actually, now the question in my mind is, if you have outstanding warrants for your arrest, since we need to submit names, dob etc to fly and present government ID... shouldn’t the system flag you?

So I went a third route with this. I used to have a dual monitor setup, then I replaced it with a 40inch 4k display... giving me the equivalent of 4x 1080p monitors. Now I just use the central area of this monitor and side by side my windows and leave stuff I don’t look at on top

There’s actually nothing wrong with this. It has nothing to do with the hospital wanting money to do the surgery. It has to do with a very limited resource and how best to use it. Human hearts unfortunately do not grow on trees. There’s a list of donors and a whole range of issues once there is a compatible heart

I think the newest 3 series actually has a longer wheelbase.

Waiting for the inevitable “rowing my own gears is better” argument to show up.

I’ll agree that the tristate area is especially bad to drive in, even though I drive here daily, but I think there’s a special hell that’s the Boston/Mass area. I lived there for a few years and coming to live in NYC meant nothing phased me. I mean look at this intersection I drove through daily. It was chaos theory

Chevy goes all in for the 2020 Camaro. We heard you didn’t like visibility.

I feel like in this case, it’s like me buying a suit off the rack and having them tailor the pants and sleeves and calling it a bespoke suit.

Super nostalgic. Love this shot

This one is taken from the Andaz lobby. Amazing views in this hotel.

This was taken early morning in Arashiyama in Kyoto. Mind ungreying me for these posts?

I’m still learning to use the camera here, so the balance is a bit off, but I agree that there’s literally a million times more Japan then what people usually shoot. I just enjoy being there. The sights, sounds and smells really are something else.

I have to try this the next time I’m there lol. I’m a fan of the yogurt water, and I like the morning tea (lemon tea flavored water), but the morning milk tea flavored water is disgusting.

It’s actually Ibusuki in Kyushu. I traveled to Fukuoka later that day. It’s the hotspring bath for my room on the balcony. It was awesome, except for the part that the shower for the room was also on the balcony... and it was 55 degrees in the morning :)

Heh, I only realize how complicated it all is when I try to explain it to someone else :)

Thanks again for putting up with my pics. BTW as someone just starting out with photography, I appreciate any tips and pointers.

Man I wish I saw read this like 3 weeks ago. Pearls before swine I guess. They served Hibiki on my flights, Hakushu at the hotels, and Chita at the airport. Would have taken the time to sample them in that case. I’ll just have to keep it in mind for next year.

Surprisingly no. I was strolling around my hotel in the morning with a new camera and decided to take a shot, as I typically do see big signs like this over places like chinatown etc, but in Nagasaki they seemed to have a few of these on various streets which were normal Japanese streets.

Don’t forget this badge.
