Month after the game and it still hasn't been cracked. No item dupes going on. Quick exploiting spots been patched up. Its pretty clear that they are putting the integrity of the items/game as paramount above all else. Which I agree is the key to longevity for this game.

Yea that was an unprecedented move on their part, and respect to them. I bought the game day 1 (huge FF11 fan) and was disappointed as well as many other people.

Since they use stolen CC's to create the spamming accounts, theres a good chance it will be reported/found out in those 3 days.

You can't connect to Blizzard servers? They really haven't had downtown outside of regularly scheduled maintenance in a long time. Or perhaps you are talking about buying an online-only game when you don't have internet?

There is a difference between a "terrible product" and a "product that isn't tailored for you".

It will always be a game of cat and mouse. There won't be one solution that wins the game, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't go for the small wins either. Especially if it makes it harder on them, impedes their process.

Just like there are WoW emulators out there, it might be fun for a bit to play at 100x xp or every mob drop legendary gear, it still isn't a good substitute for the real thing.

Like a lot of confusing 'why' things about the gaming industry, it was prob a business decision.

Protecting the game from gold farmers/spammers who use stolen credit cards to spam accounts is in both the best interest of the gamers as well as RMAH.

You can't pirate the game yet. Since a majority of the game is handled on b.net's end.

Since they buy accounts with stolen credit cards, that 72 hours is valuable time before they get the notice or credit card company takes back their money

I'm not saying this is a good/ball call on Blizzard, but really it makes sense as to WHY they are doing it.

Fraud as in from gold sellers who spam buy accounts with stolen credit cards to create accounts to spam general chat with BUY GOLD HERE WWW.BUYGOLD.COM WE HAVE GOOD DEALS

"On top of that, pirates have already gotten it to work "offline"."

Asking for something like

Very very true. I posted earlier about my main complaint with the game is that I have a ton of friends in Inferno, but we're all playing by ourselves hahaha.

People still complaining for single player like it's just a check-box flip switch Blizzard is holding out on and not a total re-coding/designing of the entire game.

Trying to get an idea of a game from the forums is like trying to get a feel of the city by only visiting the bad part of town. That's where all the unhappy people are. There is a vast, vast majority of users to are out there, living it up, enjoying the game.

If you have valid arguments against the game and you want to share them, by all means. There are plenty of things wrong with this game I wouldn't agree with.

Hard numbers? Nope. But with Diablo 3 being the fastest selling PC game in history, and last numbers I heard reaching towards 7-8 million copies, it would be a tough case to argue that the 'single player only/no internet' crowd are the majority.
