Recouping the cost of the game is fine, but upkeep and maintaining the servers isn't cheap man. Also they do tons of free content updates with their games. I don't think blizzard is banking too much on the AH, just more of a 'ah thats nice to have'.

I agree, but there is a difference between a problem and hiccup. D3, one of the most anticipated games of the decade is released, and people slam on the login servers. That's expected. Just like WoW and all of it's expansions, just like any other MMO in history.

Yea... I'm sure this was foreseen by everyone before the game was released. I don't think there's anything you could do to mitigate it. I can't think of many systems in the world that are built to handle millions of connections slamming a cluster at a single point in time.

I agree. That makes the most technical sense, but from a marketing perspective, "simultaneous release" is the way to go.

So you don't think it's a fun game? That's fine. I guess the millions of copies sold are for people who like boring games. Even if its not fun to you, doesn't mean its not fun to others. You can be all hipster and tell people how non-mainstream you are over there...

People need to realize that it is not easy hosting infrastructure for millions of people simultaneously hitting a server. What's worse is, since this comes along pretty much ONCE in the products life cycle then if they front load the servers they end up wasting a lot of capacity.

And they gained a lot more for providing an amazingly fun game, FREE multiplayer hosted on their networks among other things.

Baited!

Think of it as.... digital Lego's.

hahaha. he comes and destroys the world.... the end.

I was so hyped when I saw that... and no one else was haha.

OHHHH that was supposed to be Karthus....

HoN and DotA 2 are good at.... imitating/remaking War3 DotA.

Don't worry guys, more cops!

I'm sorry, I don't see how that story can be redeemed to anything worthwhile. I've already stopped playing though.

Play a Counselor they said....

I love eSports, but I'm sure no one would argue that its as physically intensive as real sports (perhaps golf or bowling... but I don't really count those as sports either).

I know what you're talking about. But before you start screaming japanophile, just know that it's not so much that japanese is cooler or whatever, but it seems that in Japan, voice acting is actually taken seriously.

I think a monster hunter on the Vita will do much better than on the PSP. I love the concept of Monster Hunter. It's 100% my type of game, but after frustratingly fighting the game over the controls I just couldn't take it.... 2nd analog stick would go a long way for that game.

Now playing

No love for the Super Gideon? Man, when this song played I was so hyped. SO HYPED. GAHHHHHHHH
