Yes, although much like with the whole “free speech!” argument when people say shitty and or racist/sexist things, you can say whatever you want, or in this case, you can defend your client as aggressively as possible, technically doing your job. But that sure as hell does not spare you from being roasted, criticized

Every attorney must deal with an unsavory client from time to time. But I don’t defend my shitty clients and sexual assault in general in personal interviews with the Times.

Yeah, it was clearly in reference to the interview. This shouldn’t be a thing. It’s kinda depressing that people are so hot for the take-down that they will totally disregard, like, basic syntax.

My thoughts as well. Although he probably could’ve worded differently. I think his intent wasn’t to be inappropriate, but to flatter.

I know I will catch heat for this, but here I go.... it seemed to me as if he was referring to being interviewed by her and that she took it that way, as well.  Especially since he added that he had accomplished it (“I’m done”).  Granted, everything Jim Carrey says tends to come out a little creepy, but I think this

RE: Jim Carrey

Sure he wasn’t talking about being interviewed by her? Like it was a magnanimous compliment that she’s a great journalist and being interviewed by her was on his bucket list? That’s how I interpreted it, especially since he then says “It’s all done now.” He can’t be talking about fucking her because he hasn’t, so it’s

It’s so arrogant to use your celebrity status to raise awareness of an issue that you aren’t caring about or improving when the cameras are off.

God, yes, McGowan is so problematic. She made a decent point, but could also have made that point to NP directly instead of blasting her on social media. People can see that kind of posturing for what it is.

Exactly, also look at the production issues with Jane Got a Gun(produced by her company), which originally was to be directed by a female director, and see the difficulty that took to get off the ground. Natalie is not the issue here.

And yet she’s still done more than McGowan who so far has done little for anyone but herself and labelled other activists as “douchebags” and “sellouts”, who’ve raised millions to support victims, because she didn’t get invited to their lunches and didn’t get press for herself in certain magazines.

Please. Rose is just bitter that she wasn’t made the face of MeToo like she expected.

“You did something about a complex, huge problem, but it didn’t fix the entire problem, so the thing you did is WORSE than doing nothing at all!!!”

Whether it’s true or not is immaterial. No one cares whether he is cheating on his wife or having threesomes or whatever. You can’t just go around publicly making sexual remarks about your coworkers.

It’s amazing how pissed off people who are used to getting away with shit get when they’re finally called to account.

Then he recalled when a woman approached him to ask if his wife and Tappen were both with him, to which Roenick replied, “Yes, they are.”

They didn’t have a choice. He just kept on going and going.

“At the time, people talked of inciting a minor to debauchery, or indecent assault...But nobody ever spoke of crime,”

Well he’s not exactly lying about Patrick Sharp. I’m getting Justin Trudeau with Superman hair vibes from this picture.

And somehow Barstool Sports still exists while Deadspin is no more. Anyway, between Don Cherry and this douche, it’s been a tough season for asshole hockey commentators.
