Every church picnic I went to as a kid in the midwest had an entire damn table full of jello molds. Also ambrosia. /dry heave
That’s a perfect example. We just hit them with some more sanctions yesterday for our election when we totally interfered in their election to get Yeltsin installed. I’m no Putin fan, but I do understand why he would chuckle at our moral outrage.
Always giving 110 percent.
Maybe a nice jello mold.
And then what gets me the most is when we lecture Russia or China or whoever on human rights violations. I mean, we really get on our moral high horse with other countries. Even before Trump, they had to be all, “seriously, bro?”
PS, I like you and it really bothers me that I’ve said anything at all to you from a place of white maleness. It wasn’t intentional, but that doesn’t matter. I apologize. Period. I respect you and value what you say.
No, I haven’t, but I saw enough while living pretty close to a reservation to horrify me. It should horrify any human being but nobody really cares.
Yeah, thanks for all your input. I’ll get on out and leave the last word to you.
Whatever, breh.
Speaking of SD, I had a friend from there and spent part of my childhood in northern AZ. The racism against Native Americans in some of those states is, shall we say, strong.

Right? I’d been pretty nervous but I’m starting to feel like we might actually do this. I didn’t want to get my hopes up though because, you know, we’ve been disappointed so many times and it’s been so long since we won anything....
a white ally that they have no problem with their child dating black people
I hate to do it, but as a white person, there’s something I just have to say about this white allies thing, Michael. It’s hurtful. I mean, really, only an 11 seed? We should have been way higher, conclusively demonstrating your reverse racism!
Huh? I literally have no idea what you’re talking about.
I haven’t said anything about bernie. Again, I voted for hilary! Both in the primary and the general.
I don’t disgaree. But race doesn’t really have anything to do with whether we should allow insurance companies to get involved in banking, for example. Race doesn’t have anything to do with whether it was a good idea to repeal Glass-Steagal. Race does get involved, however, when the right wanted to blame the meltdown…
No disagreement. Here’s why I posted the article:
PS, someone else in this thread reminded me of an article which lays out some of where I’m coming from here: https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2016/10/how-democrats-killed-their-populist-soul/504710/
