I’m crushed how tame and unfunny The Onion has become. It’s barely even trying.

Totally, I said the same thing to my wife.
Considering how effective digital muzzle flares are these days, I’m surprised productions are still using prop gun fire. Sure, it’s a post-production cost and not an in-camera effect, but it certainly eliminates the possibility that someone will needlessly die on set due to an improperly prepped weapon.
Do they explain why Thanos looks like an old grape but, uh, Starfox looks like Seth Green?
Whoa, good for you, Kinja! It’s like it’s 2017 again over here!
Jacking the WWI footage up to 24FPs and colourising it just feels like Phillipsvision
Brody still wasn’t a household name until The Pianist, he wouldn’t have been distractingly famous had he popped up in Fellowship. I recall his face in Thin Red Line and Summer of Sam when I saw them, but both films were ensembles with relatively small releases. Cinefiles might have known him, but general audiences…
Jingle All The Way and its sequel, X-Men: First Class
Yeah, Brody wasn’t really a name until The Pianist hit big in 2002, the year after Fellowship was released. But if he didn’t even know what part it was going to be, there was probably never a serious offer.
I credit fan service by filmmakers who grew up being inspired by those movies. How many directors would have loved the chance to get Michael Keaton back in the Bat suit?
George Lazenby joined DC first - he voiced Royal Flush Gang’s King in Batman Beyond.

I don’t think you are in the minority regarding Skyfall. It seems to be the most divisive of Craig’s films. Either it’s a beautifully shot, intense, personal Bond story OR a beautifully shot overly-plotted derivative attempt at a psychological Bond story.
If it focused on Connery, it’d be a James Bond hairpiece
Not saying it never happens but tall, dark and handsome is a thing. I’m bet it’s about a 10:1 ratio brunette vs blonde leading men. Yeah, Thor is going to be blonde because, well, Thor, but Steve Rogers isn’t exactly platinum. Even cinematic Aquaman is a brunette.
Maybe hard to believe now, but it was for real. I don’t think it was just the color of his hair (Roger Moore was more of a dark, dirty blonde), but his look in his introductory press conference didn’t exactly fit the traditional Bond aesthetic - some called him James Bjornd. There is something about blonds that…
I’m speaking to the reception of Brosnan as Bond, not necessarily the reviews of his films. The press and fan reactions in the late-1990s was generally pro-Brosnan, he was repeatedly hailed as the best since Connery - the perfect balance of all of the Bonds before him, even if the films fell short. Even Die Another…
When I saw the villain in Skyfall was a former 00-agent, I was like, “oh, we’re doing that again?”
Exactly. As I mentioned elsewhere, Dalton was the first choice, but was unavailable due to Brenda Starr, so they offered the part to Brosnan. Seeing Brosnan’s star increase, the producers of Remington Steele renewed the show for another season forcing Brosnan to drop out, which re-opened the door for Dalton.
Brosnan was absolutely beloved during his run as Bond, repeatedly hailed as the best since Connery. I was never as high on him, but as soon as Casino Royale hit and Craig proved the naysayers incredibly wrong, the pendulum swung and Brosnan’s estimation dropped similar to that of Dalton’s in the 1990s. I’m sure Brosna…
