Indubitably.
...between Jay Johnston’s (alleged) light domestic terrorism...
or more to the point...
That was my first thought -
you’re being fleeced!
Jim Breuer finally wrote that gritty prequel...
Never bought John and Z2, it was a little too forced. And losing your powers and getting into a relationship are the last stop before adding a kid/baby to the cast so I can see why they are going to stir the pot with some fresh blood.
It’s kind of nuts the show has kept going after shedding most of its superhero characters considering it started out as a rag-tag time traveling Justice League. Nate is really the last superhero standing and he uses his power maybe once every three episodes. Give them credit for stirring the pot every season.
I just watched Justice Society WWII and Man of Tomorrow and I completely disagree regarding the new character designs. I’m all for a fresh take, but they look almost artless - like bland corporate advertising storyboard artwork. And what is with Flash’s mask hanging on his nose all wonky?
This certainly bursts the bubble of those Cosmic Brownie flat-universers.
I didn’t really get the logo either, but I guess it’s inspired by the Hermes helmets the Guardians of Traffic wear. Kind of high concept that probably could have been designed in a less clunky way without the 3/4 angle or ditching the “G”.
I’m the polar opposite, ursine me up!
The Grey 2: The Brown
I hate The Killing Joke. Even cranky Alan Moore thinks the story is trash in retrospect.
Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn has been a mostly African-American neighborhood for the past century at least. It’s featured in Do the Right Thing, Everybody Hates Chris, and where rappers such as Jay-Z and Notorious B.I.G. grew up.
I would have loved to have gotten a decent Hulk movie with Mark Ruffalo, but I feel like his arc has concluded. We’ll see how She-Hulk leaves the door open for Hulk down the road. There are 50 years of stories, there are lots of possibilities if Ruffalo is up for it (and Universal Studios allows it).
I’m always up for a Superman story that does more than make him evil or kill him.

It’s a by-the-book adaptation while Apokolips War isn’t.
