It’s a pretty huge jump to suggest this will be the final battle. Narratively it makes more sense for this to be the low point where our heroes get their asses kicked, only to come back and be victorious (at great cost) toward the end.

Counter-counterpoint: book Robb was just as selfish and short-sighted despite his (slightly) different reasons. He still put the romantic notion of personal honor (and his own personal baggage) above securing a key alliance for the war he was leading.
Right? Weird how the eye-catching headline isn’t addressed in the article at all.
Davos, Sam, Gilly, Meera, and Lyanna Mormont are all going to die. These are the types of characters who appear “safe” but could easily be disposed of.
Well this is the third(?) mass shooting the show has done. It’s more hacky than offensive.
Cam and Mitch’s relationship is a net positive but there are quite a few caveats to that. The sexuality of the straight characters had a frankness that was completely lacking from the gays... Elderly and teenage characters got more discussion and depiction.
I don't think anyone thinks Jessica Harper was speaking Italian. But several supporting characters were clearly dubbed over (most obviously in the opening sequence).
Why do you think your personal friend group is representative of all film buffs?
Books 4 and 5 are a poorly edited mess with no climax, and really no sense of structure, momentum, or narrative progression. It really felt like Martin was creating all these new storylines to avoid progressing the established ones.
Somebody likes a mediocre show. The horror!
The last few seasons of the show are better than the last two books.
Yeah, I learned about it at exactly that time, from Captain Planet.
Women are held to higher standards in all things, including being woke.
Seems like you're the one trying hard to make it an issue.
There’s really no basis for that take. When he signed on, the New York-based actor was under the impression that the LA-based production had a relatively short filming schedule. Kate, Aidy, and Cecily are reaching the end of their initial contracts this season. I’m glad SNL is securing a great next generation of female leads with Heidi, Melissa, and Ego.
I circumvented that problem by getting a library card.
Gran Torino isn't a movie about Asians. It's about a white guy who learns how to be nicer to Asians.
I think the distinction is having almost all supporting roles played by Asians, while directly addressing the Asian American experience in a substantive way.
She pulled off some light-hearted stuff when she hosted SNL.
