“ray tracing” is pathetic on consoles and I feel like developers should put their efforts elsewhere. this is less than a training wheels version of the tech, it’s just a giant performance cost with barely any visual benefit.

RRR. I know it technically got a nod but it should have been nominated for Best Picture over some of the Nominations... And it’s a crime it didn’t even get nominated for best foreign film.

I gotta say, and this is purely a Me thing, I found even Aloy to feel very lifeless in her delivery. I don’t know how they did it but they did the unthinkable and made Ashly Burch sound like she was phoning it in. All the VOs in the game make me sleepy.

I’m just one of the absolute trash humans that just didn’t think the first game was all that special. Cool concept, interesting robot dinosaurs, beautiful visuals, been-there-done-that gameplay mechanics, bland-as-hell story, unnervingly stiff facial animations, lifeless voice acting. And all the usual open world…

For a community that’s fighting for acceptance and inclusion, they sure seem to be taking a page from the people they say are oppressing them.

Would also recommend The Sadness (2021). After the overabundance of “Artsy Supernatural Phenomena as Metaphor For Grief (TM)“ flicks the last few years it was refreshing to see a horror movie that’s still capable of bringing the shocking gore for it’s own sake.

I find the crabs to be more threatening. The crayfish have an attack that causes them to get their claw stuck in the ground, allowing you to bash them with impunity for a couple of seconds.

I’m sure the gameplay is incredible, but the game overall seems so up-it’s-own-ass pretentious.

Its crazy how game devs can release a game in a long running franchise and remove basic functions that then takes them “months” to restore.

PVP isn’t as huge a part of the game as it sometimes seems. There was a ton of invasions going on when the game first came out, but by and large most of the unwanted pvp has died down.
