Really well said and so important not just for gaming but all forms of work. And as you point out in your article, you can get a great game and not overwork the team developing it. It’s not either/or.

Sorry I hope I'm not coming off too pretentious here, I'm just kind of musing.

See I could believe that looking at it! And at least yours is funny. Thankfully mine didn’t take that long. But sometimes the idea of spending a significant chunk of time on something not even I find funny, is kind of ridiculous enough in itself to make me want to do it. It’s very strange indeed.
