I watched it with my sister who is deaf. She went ballistic, it was very hard to calm her down, she cried violently for hours too. It hit really close to home.

Yeah. Couldn't sleep for DAYS after watching it. It tried Von Trier again a few years later with Dancer In The Dark, then decided that I would never watch any of his films again, it was just too much for my poor little heart and brain.
