Haven't seen The Hunger Games, but agreed, she was awesome in Winter's Bone. Cinema cruelly lacks great female characters like her. She totally kicked ass.

From here (France), it all seems so very strange. Girls as young as 16 can get on the pill here, without having to ask their parents, and it is covered by the national healthcare service.
