The Fusion is also on a much better European platform and is better looking. It isn’t much of a wonder why the Taurus isn’t selling.

I will never understand the comparisons between the MDX and the RX. The MDX is giant in comparison.

That ZF 9 Speed Transmission though? That thing has been creating problems for every car it is put in. I haven’t heard as many complaints on the Evogue front though. Acura and Jeep have been having a heck of a time with consumer complaints.

If you plan on doing any off-roading, go with the RR. But you might be better off with something cheaper, like a Summit trim Grand Cherokee. I wouldn’t want to take a car as expensive as a RR offroad.

Acura RLX Sport Hybrid with SH-AWD - I have yet to see any of these on the road, and no one seems to do proper reviews of the car. I’d love to see a long term ownership review of one of these. I think the cost should come in under $65k with decent options.

I don’t understand why people keep buying the v6 variant of the Cherokee given the known ZF 9 Speed transmission issues.

Agreed. I love RWD cars, but I’m never going to buy anything but an AWD car if I live in a part of the country that gets even a modest amount of snow.

Please provide 0-60 times for all drivetrain variants.

True. The overinclusive term “hispanic” doesn’t help.

Looks very heavy. Hopefully they cut some of the weight down so that 400 HP does more than 0-60 in 6+ seconds.

The Irish and the Italians were considered minorities in the past. I am not well versed enough as to why they stopped being considered as such (or why Spaniards and the Portuguese are still often considered minorities).

Exactly. The CEO of Lincoln recently came out and said they're are going in the other direction from performance. Soft luxury ride is their goal now. Ford is pushing the performance; Lincoln is going for luxury.

Cost is the issue for all these performance cars Ford is making.

Acura has one vehicle that sells well versus peers (MDX). I think the gripe most jalops have with Acura is more about not being who they were than it is about who they are (if that makes sense),

Probably because the ES shares a platform with the Avalon, not the Camry. ES hasn’t shared a platform with the Camry since the last gen.

I really have no idea what Acura or Lexus are trying to do these days.

But would you really punch one in the face? I mean, its bad enough that no one can figure out why Lincoln even exists. I would feel bad for the MKS, as its less expensive brother, the Fusion, is a better looking car all around.

This comment is pure unAmerican.

Cherokee Trailhawk is decent in the actual outback. The problem with the Cherokee is the ZF 9 speed transmission they have paired with the 6 tigershark.

Almost every other luxury brand has a better three-row SUVs on its platform (Not sure why BMW doesn’t have one, but I think it points to the affects on driving dynamics of such a large vehicle):
