No, they don't get money! In fact, they all shill out a ton of cash for new date outfits and gowns before the show, AND they have to quit whatever jobs they have, and most of them get kicked off before anyone even remembers they were there. It's insane.
The appeal is that no matter how awful you think it is, it's actually worse. It's absolutely fascinating how appalling it is, and on how many levels.
