First, get a Router. This has a NAT firewall built in. Even if you only have (1) computer, its worth it. REMEMBER, the NAT firewall only blocks incoming traffic. A good software firewall will block outgoing traffic and let you know what is trying to get out.

i need to format/reinstall my windows machine. Ive been waiting for SP3 to come out so I dont have to spend hours installing hotfixes on a SP2 install. Anyone slipstream a SP2 install disk with SP3?

SP3 main "feature" is just having all of the hotfixes since SP2. From what Ive read, there isnt any major new features.

Anyone try Orb with Xbox 360? Whats the benefit over using Tversity?
