Totally missed opportunity for Smashmouth or TMBG in loop for an hour to accompany it.
Needs more Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell.
If the point of this article was to get folks into anime, because most Americans automatically think animation=kids stuff, this article misses some bits IMO. Some of this is way too serious.
Don’t get me wrong, the #1 thing that drives most Americans away when dabbling in…
well, he is an immortal...
I would like to thank the makers of “Cats: the Movie”, for removing the stigma of my beloved John Carter of being the ‘biggest flop’ of the last ten years.
There’s cultural relativism, and the difference between ethnicity and race at play here.
Hispanics are by and large ‘white’; all Spaniards of Spanish heritage in Europe for instance, are white. In the Americas, many Hispanics have both African and Amerind in their background—but still self-identify as white.
Then…
It is complete and utter horse$#!% that there are trolls going after the actress due to color of her skin. Let’s all actually see the show before casting too much judgement on how well or bad it is as well, okay?
But there are tons of inaccuracies in this article. Both Marv Wolfman and George Perez are pretty open to…
I’m old enough to predate the ‘kids menu’, as is my brother. We had a tendency to order the most expensive thing on the menu... (lobster, steak, etc...) Mom n’ Dad just ordered it, cut it for us, and educated us on food. Took home leftovers which they finished, too. Parents shouldn’t be afraid.
Wonderful that it’s confirmed that this new gang of folks in charge of the SW Universe don’t even know its basic conceits: C3P0 and R2D2 are supposed to be our Greek Chorus, and the main nine stories are supposed to be about the Skywalkers (as heroes).
Help us Obi-wan (Dave) Filoni, you are our only hope....

“Aladdin was a little Chinese boy...” — 1001 Arabian Nights.
I loved a lot of the ideas, but they really dragged the bottom of the barrel in terms of talent getting these published. I realize most of the ‘great’ artists of the time were busy churning out crap at Image, but sheesh.. they shoulda worked on getting BIG names to work on these.
Somebody with the initials J.S. has posted an opinion piece online and has forgotten 9th grade civics/American government classes... the faithless elector is a deliberate fail-safe built into the Electoral College by the Founding Fathers.
I’d really like to know what the heck happened that leads us to the first scene of Morgan Yon’s above....
He better still be available for Cpt. Cold... I <3 his portrayal of that character.
The Indians just need to buy up all the rights to the old Cleveland Spiders, and change their name to that. Interesting legacy of Cleveland sports, it gets rid of a racist logo, and replaces it with something really cool (and terrifying to a lot of people).
The first 10 minutes of “Up” is a Voight-Kampff test to be sure that no one in the audience is a replicant or robot.
About time. The most inexplicably stupid thing that Marvel has done recently, has been to change up the characters in the books, that have been doing so well in the movies. There has been nothing better for comic sales than their movies, so why in the world would you change the books for possible new readers? I’m not…
All comic book universe crossovers take place on Earth-$
Now, what Blizzard needs to do... the next World of Warcraft expansion, where a ‘star falls from the sky’, crashing somewhere in a remote area of Northrend. When the dust clears (and the expansion drops), that’s when the Zerg rush begins. Go ahead and mix tech with magic in Azeroth. Go all “Expedition to the Barrier…
