Head on vs. small overlap? Semantics won’t matter when you’re dead.

right?

After a quick glance at the cutaway model I’m wondering where you poop.

I agree that the R8 doesn’t belong on the D-list. It flies way under the radar, looks-wise; it’s exotic for other reasons. If I had $125k to drop on a fun car that I didn’t want people take notice of unless they looked carefully, this would be near or at the top of my list.

I’m surprised the R8 made it onto the “douchey” list. Available with a V10 and a manual makes it very special and exotic and appreciated by other car people. Get it in a boring color like grey or even better black and its very understated. You could even swap or paint the “blade” if that part was too flashy for you.

Agree with most - but not the Ferrari. You’ve got to go older than the 430 to lose that status. A 430 just makes you look equally douchey, but with less money. So you’re also trying hard.

R8's are douchey? I think they’re at least a lot less flashy than their Lamborghini and Ferrari counterparts, even if just through 2015's generation. Oh well. Some fun cars to choose from.

I think this is what 911s are specifically made for.

This is hilarious. Do people think that putting plate inside the car under the windshield makes them legal and a cop won't ticket them likewise? But sir, it's right here you can see it see!

Sticking it in the corner of your windshield?

I think it’s less about completely preserving the look of the front end, and more about mostly preserving the look while also not having to drill holes in the bumper.

You think you have privacy on a public road? Without that iniquity identifier, the roads would be more chaotic.

I mean I hate license plates and love the fourth amendment as much as anyone but I’m not sure your car has a right to privacy on public roads...I guess you’re saying that you have the right to not be identified as the owner of the car via the license plate but that’s not any more of a privacy violation than being

This is America. If you’re rich enough, you can make it legal for your kids to kill others while driving drunk.

Stickers. These are stickers.

I don’t have a front plate, either.

While there are many choices in sirens, an EQ2B is not at all uncommon anywhere in the US or places where US-made fire trucks are used.

That is not a unique to NYC thing, that is pretty much how all fire trucks sound in the US.

This is the way fire trucks sound on the other side of the Continent and in Canada.  I think it may just be a total North American thing.  And I suspect you’ll receive a lot of raised eyebrows from the Canadian and American readers.

It is! I’m so used to seeing built LS engines used for stuff like this that the use of this 350 stood out. But I guess it makes sense. The previous owner just wanted to tow, not do endless burnouts.
