I LOVE "Lost in the Supermarket".

My order would be:
1. Revolver
2. Sgt. Pepper's
3. Pet Sounds
4. Rubber Soul

I would love to hear how tax cuts will lead to better healthcare.

I'm sure their math skills are about as good as their ability to correctly make a word plural.

Hopefully, Ms. Perfect is a woman rather than a girl. Don't engage in statutory rape.

Queer is a word that I see as "reclaimed" in my lifetime. Some people label themselves as queer. There are Queer Studies programs in colleges. I would certainly think that straight people could use it in a non-derogatory manner.

Ice Cube is making money off of re-releasing what he said 25 years ago. If he feels he was wrong, maybe he should apologize and give all that money to charity. As best I can tell, Ice Cube stands by all his past use of language.

You are reading infinitely more into it than was there. He didn't compare his lot in life to anything and didn't imply anything about slaves having a choice. He meant that he wasn't up to working in the fields, as the senator wanted him to. If anything, he implied that he didn't have the strength of slaves because…

He is from a suburban part of New Jersey. Not a place where people typically work in fields.

If my options are cooking/cleaning vs. picking cotton, I'd go with the former. I'd certainly prefer no slavery whatsoever. I doubt working any location prevented rape.

I'm glad things have improved for you, but I suspect your child's psychiatric problems would have existed even if Mom was glued to his side 24/7. I know plenty of kids with two working parents who are normal and healthy.

I was a kid in the 70's, so I thought high school was going to be a cross between Grease and Marcia & Greg in The Brady Bunch. I was sadly mistaken.

I brought "Forever" to school when I was in 6th grade. A friend brought it to her class, and I was told by the friend's substitute teacher to take it home. I felt chastised.
I bought "Summer Sisters" at a tag sale a few years ago. It wasn't bad.

I loved the book, but I didn't want my period or breasts like Margaret and her friends did. I got it when I was 11, and I cried.
My mom only used tampons, so the belt was a bit of a mystery to me too.

I thought Bernie Kopell was dead. I guess not.

I doubt that Gone With the Wind was the sole source of this expression.

The Band, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison in a magenta jumpsuit? I love it all.

Better than the sound out of my TV, I suppose, or at least louder.

I would say The Last Waltz. It would have been good to first see it with good movie theater sound.
