His story about the fainting fans reminds me of those narcoleptic goats, where you clap your hands and they fall asleep. I bet if he clapped, I would just pass out.. I mean, the girls would just pass out...

I would also like to lodge a complaint: My shampoo has NEVER given me orgasms. Talk about false advertising! As a parent, I'm complaining!
@sebluver: Everyone's honesty here is so gut-wrenching. I am so sorry for your struggle.
I usually don't much care about research like this and leave it to others to rip apart, but this is such a dumb conclusion. Why do the non-"breadwinning" women yell at their husbands about housework? To claim some masculinity? Pretty sure it all has to do with the same thing- having too damn much to do by yourself.
Ok, reviews aside, here is my question. The movie makers worked really hard to convince men to go see this movie ("Werewolves! Action!"), even showing ads during Monday night football, which just made my friend laugh. I don't think men bought any advance tickets for the movie, YET it broke the record for Star Wars.…
@rhubarbarin: That's why these kinds of posts are so frustrating. Everyone thinks it is all new with this generation of parents. There have been whack job parents since forever, yet as a whole, society is fine. Move along, people.
There are ELEVEN parents in this class. That means there are millions of parents who are not and never will take a class like this. That includes parents who can afford violin lessons.
@thereisn0try: Yeah, I was going to say that, too. The bit about the wardrobe was that women have to work harder. Being qualified for VP was saying just because I have a family doesn't mean I can't do it. They aren't actually contradictory. #sarahpalinoprah
@Snowbunny: I would say rather than being polite, it was just their standard way of drumming up more press. They have done that before. "Polite" and porn rarely go together!
@lavenderstain: Both Megan Fox and Jessica Biel have claimed they are denied parts because they are too beautiful. I always get confused by that argument, because that suggests that unattractive people get parts in Hollywood. If everyone in movies is beautiful, then beautiful people are able to get parts. Charlize…
@Penny: I've used that tip, but I think I did it wrong. It didn't work. #cindycrawford
@JessickerFletcher: No problem- I wouldn't say I was teaching, just talking aloud. I think the whole thing of having a fake stutter to hide her shyness could be interesting if it was done sensitively, since shyness can be disabling for some people too. But I was disappointed that it was fake because, well, there…
@JessickerFletcher: My daughter has a stutter that has been classified as severe and requires therapy twice a week. My understanding is that a person with a stutter does fit under the Americans with Disabilities Act if it is severe, although they might not if it is mild. It definitely impedes a person's ability to…
@JessickerFletcher: Actually, a stutter is really a disability, so they would probably have something in common on that front. Although the way she did it would appear not to have much impact on her ability to communicate.
Question for everyone. I love Glee, but last night's ep didn't work for me. Anyone else? I hated the whole "let's pretend we're disabled, too" bit. A teacher telling everyone to ride around in wheelchairs for 3 hours to learn about what it is really like to have a disability seemed condescending and not respectful.
@snobographer: Actually, the comparison with Rob pattz should be how well *men* like him. He is performing for women, just as Megan Fox is performing for men. I think the interesting stuff these other actresses have done is an indication they aren't performing just for the pleasure of men, which makes women more…
Ooh, this is dangerous, but I am going to say it. I agree with Bill Clinton. There are millions of women with NOTHING. No abortion coverage, no flu shots, no cancer treatments, no prenatal care, nothing. I can easily say I won't except anything less than total coverage, but I already have insurance, and frankly I…
@Adah: For me, it is a philosophical thing not to cook meat. If I was Muslim and my child decided not be Muslim, it would not be fair to expect me to cook pork for her, since it goes against the religion. Same for philosophical vegetarians.
I haven't had any trouble with raising my daughter vegetarian. All our friends are fine with it and no one blinks an eye at school. If she chooses some day to not be vegetarian, that is fine. But I'm not cooking meat myself.
@Anna N.: I was going to jump in and bring up supertasters! I'm certain that I am, and it is quite possible you are, too. I was so picky as a kid, my parents tried to bribe me by giving me a quarter for every new food I tried. I made 25 cents in 3 months. I couldn't handle so many foods- cheeses, spices, salty…
