@lucyjae: Yes. This is exactly the truth for me. My salary was LESS than the cost of child care and gas. We would have gone into DEBT if I continued to work. Was it a perfect choice? No, but finances cut both ways, which no one seems to be acknowledging when the call stay at home moms snobby and all that.

I read this article yesterday and it just annoyed me. Saying that kids in daycare are hurt, which is basically what it said, is really dumb. I am a stay at home mom, taking care of my 3 year old.
