The niece’s mom and Russell are siblings through adoption and all the statements made a big deal about how he wasn’t “blood related” to his niece. This becomes even more disturbing when you learn that Russell also has an adopted son.

I dated a girl back in the day who was molested (and possibly raped) by her stepfather. When he apologized to her years later (when she was an older teen (and which he said she had to accept because the bible said he deserved forgiveness because he was soooo sorry)), she said she was worried about her elementary

“Act like an adult! Stop acting like a fucking baby!”Note how he is yelling at the top of his lungs, THROWING THINGS at her, slamming doors, tossing papers off desks, etc? And all she did was talk firmly and pointedly at him? Yup. She’s a woman so if she dares has a strong opinion, she’s “acting like a baby” but if he

So I had never heard this thing about the niece, so I Googled it. Uh. That dude said his niece was coming on to him so he felt her up? WTF??

Isn’t this the guy that molested his transgender niece? The guy that “nice guy” George Clooney punched out on the set of “Three Kings”? The guy that Lily Tomlin lost her shit at? WHY do people continue to make movies with him, and why do people continue to throw money at him to fund said movies?

As someone who has told a significant other, “Buy me x Dove product” and been bought the Nivea equivalent because they mistook the packaging and are not someone who reads labels, this case actually makes a lot of sense to me. It’s also the specific shade of Pantone printing colour, which in many cases appears on both

I just ran through all of my emotions. NOT COOL, ANONYMOUS TWEETER.

ME RIGHT NOW

I'd imagine they wouldn't be stupid enough to cast a white actor after the (justified) fury around the Last Airbender movie, but I wouldn't be surprised to see a Japanese or Korean actor in the part because "close enough."

I see a lot of commentary on this - all of it good - that "Dads who have daughters should read this!" or whatever.

YES you said this so much better than i just did.

And that's how you do insufferable.

I mean, "strong numbers." Who needs relative balance when we have "strong numbers?" Paid less than your male colleagues? Don't fret. You're still taking home strong numbers, love.

Actually pre-serum Chris Evans was actually Chris Evan's face digitally pasted on top of a skinny actor (His name was Leander Deeny) but yes, they do amazing things with digital effects these days .

"There may still be gender imbalances in the world of books, but very strong numbers of women are writing, editing, publishing and reviewing novels."

Face it, if it wasn't for us men, there would be no gender bias or sexism. Through us systematically oppressing women, we have, in fact, helped give rise to gender politics. In that way, Mr. Franzen is far more qualified to speak on sexism than Ms. Weiner, just as Vivek Wadhwa is more qualified than Amelia Greenhall

I guess I don't even understand why she had to have a corset in the film. She is already thin, the dress is already poufy. It just seems pointless. I also read in an interview with her somewhere that the corset was crazy uncomfortable. Seems silly to do something like that in 2015.

I don't know what Disney did or didn't do, but even sans digital slimming, is it a great idea to put an actress into a constricting corset so that the little girls who go to see this movie can see that having an unrealistically (and, for most, unobtainably) small waist is beautiful and desirable? Particularly because
