In my most sincere and non-snarky opinion, this entire comment section is why no one really wants a JezeRoot crossover.

Wait, is Melania not a naturalized citizen yet? Or am I confused?

As a Black woman, I’ll say that Omarosa is an ass-hole full stop but so are a good number of non-Black celebrities that the Jezebel crowd fans over so while you are being gaslighted, you are not 100% incorrect about why they hate her so much.

I just need Mike Pence and his boss to stay the fuck out of my county at all times unless they are headed for Andrews, in which case I hope they take the wrong detour down Suitland Parkway.

Edit: not Kevin, Brandon

Maybe I’m projecting but Kevin’s wife seemed annoying this episode? Like all of the Jack & Jill chicks I know who were so happy to get with a reformed hood nigga, without realizing that “hood shit” was still going to happen to and around him.

Hey, as a Haitian American I take offense to you saying Haiti is fucked up. I get what you’re trying to say but the reality is, if the US, UN, Clinton Foundation, and France would give us our money back or at least give us back control over our own goal mines, we would be very happy to be in Haiti.

This was the post I needed regarding this issue because the Jezebel commentariat keeps feining shock and surprise that this orange bloated bag of shit doesn’t consider himself racist while simultaneously saying Haiti & Somalia are shithole countries that ppl should be allowed to escape from. Intentional or not, white

Thank you! I just commented upthread, that while they’re offering decent suggestions, the job market is not jumping with receptionist or any other type of entry-level opportunities right now because companies want SKILLED EMPLOYEES coming into it. She needs to get a job tho, because that’s probably the only thing

Millennial here. In DC they don’t just hand out receptionist jobs to recent grads unless you know someone. She’s in NYC so that likelihood is also probably difficult for her as well.

True story. I left a toxic job at a woman run, majority women employed company last fall for a job at a tech startup that is traditionally dude-bro-ish, and I have felt so incredibly GUILTY about it. Like, I keep telling myself that I should’ve given my boss more slack because it’s hard for women in business as it is,

Most likely a young, journalistically irresponsible social media intern. I approve images often for social media ads at my job and the younger staff constantly send me images that could be interpreted wrongly. I’m constantly explaining the nuances of photo-journalism to 21 &22 year olds that don’t get it.

I showed my bf this tweet that said Steve was dressed like Olivia Pope and we both died 😂.

Yes, I see your point and I think that’s why I’m having trouble relating? Like I’ve had people accuse me of “talking white” or whatever, but it never bothered me too much because I’ve been around enough Black people throughout my life to know that it’s not about *me* for real. Sometimes I take that type of exposure

Right, like I think that’s my beef? I have no real dog in the colorism fight in general because I have never lived with the shame that some people feel about their complexion on either end of the spectrum, but I do just think it was in bad taste for her to go on this entire “strong Black woman” rant, only to kind of

Idk, man. As a dark skin Black woman, I kind of felt like the “Nah, girl the next Storm will be black FOR REAL” tweet was a tad too far, but as soon as I saw the light skin tears from Alexandria Shipp I was over it.

So you didn’t like Inglorious Basterds or Django? Or Reservoir Dogs? or Foxxy Brown? Like, I think Taratino’s annoying AF, because I’m sane, but I also think that he has made more then 2.5 good movies, because also sane.

You sound annoying as hell and like you often try to strike up conversations with people who have to illustrate that they have their headphones in.

I’m actually impressed & want to know where in the DMV I can get a quality sandwhich for less than $10 because Subway be lying...

Exactly this. I grew up in MD (on the DC side) and my mom is from Mississipi. Slave land is slave land no matter where you are, and when I drive through my state to Baltimore or further north, I always imagine people like Frederick Douglass & Harriet Tubman taking some of these same routes but for very different
