This happened at my neighborhood pool growing up. The little girl’s family was helping get the pool ready to open for the season, and she slipped under the pool cover. It happens so, so quickly.

A family friend recently posted on Facebook that their friend’s two-year-old drowned on vacation. I can’t imagine anything more horrific than losing a child suddenly, and especially to something as harmless-seeming as swimming in the summertime.

That episode is amazing, as was the moment where Clair told Sondra she’d better pay her back for all her tuition if she was going to drop out of law school to open an outdoor shop. And the time Vanessa went to that concert in Baltimore.
