I think you might also want to check out the documentary Bite Size, which is about childhood obesity (I watched it on Netflix). I’m in no way implying that your daughter is obese, but I thought it gave some pretty great insight into the emotional factors that are involved when you talk to kids about weight.

That’s outrageously awful. So many marriages don’t survive the death of a child. It sounds like these two found a way to come together and rebuild a happy life, and that’s an amazing thing after such a tragedy. I salute them.
