@gluecake: Yeah but I'm not perfect and I was born a judgemental person. I've just seen too many men perfectly happy in their fat state and at no consequence to society, and for women it's everything unfortunately. On one hand I try to fight the machine, but on the other I feel a product of it (i.e. having

@FloraWay: Neither do I. I don't think it's a solution at all nor do I know what the solution is. I just don't feel guilty about it whatsoever because women are judged so harshly on weight.

@gluecake: I never said women have to be fit, I'm just saying I've commented on other women's weight (i.e. aretha franklin) in past snap judgements and thought it was only fair to comment on his.

@gluecake: Trust me. After high school I never dated a "hot" guy (and i've been considered to be attractive by most, i'm not bragging, just to prove a point) and my current BF would be considered ugly by some but it is the best relationship I've been in so I agree with your point. I just think it's only fair to

@gluecake: PUHLEASE why are you so quick to defend a group of traditionally UNATTRACTIVE (albeit yes, I know talented and hilarious) MEN when beautiful, thin women get ripped apart here (and in the media) every single day! double-standard my friend.

@gluecake: I HOPE your joking about judging looks over personality.

@titilayo: I would rather be seen as physically delicate. It's the least feminist thing about me but whatevs at least I'm honest.

@foree: Hells yeah he did. It's funny because Jewish dudes always be commenting on my size.

Oh yeah, and just to even out the playing field, Jonah Hill looks unhealthily overweight.

I lurve Seth Rogen. I don't think he would be in to me though. Plus, he made some comment about Heigl during shooting of Knocked Up about how she's a "big girl" and could probably kick their asses (it didn't come off as a compliment, more like a joke.) As a tall girl, being referred to as "big" from a fat dude would

@jessy ratfink: Tell your friends to stop being pawns to the patriarchy.

@meaghan2k: True. More to love about her.

@meaghan2k: Yeah her show is pretty terrible, but I think it's funny when she has starlets on and talks down to them (i.e. Lilo.)

I unapologetically love her, even though I find her stiff as a board on her talk show. I think it's because we share a Polock/WASP background and she used to have a country home near me in W. Mass before she was a trillionaire.

Yeah and the hair thing is such a contentious issue with me and my mom! Now when I go home she's finally complimenting me on my hair and it gives me great satisfaction, as If I've won some contest. But when she still asks me, "did you brush your hair?..." it drives me crazy!!

I'm glad we're continuing this topic. I encounter this everyday and I really want to get to the bottom of it because I think it fuckin' sucks. And I think I'm more critical of other women myself. Familiarity breeds contempt? Who knows...

@Skinny Bone Jones: I agree. The jealousy claim is a totally trite response and is true some of the times but not all, obvs. It's a totally base emotional response (I'm jealous, therefore I hate you) that we may learn on the grade school playground and than grow out of.

Ok you know how on the Hagyness post someone claimed jealousy for all the hatred? Well I always own up to jealousy for unexplained hatred i.e. I dislike N. Richie because she will ALWAYS be cute. Pregnancy only makes her cuter. I bet when she's an old lady she'll be one of the lil cute ones.
