@hamburgerhotdog: I totally agree but the commenters are almost WORST than Fashionista. I don't bother reading them because the posts are so good and, dare I say, "on trend."
@puppyciao: It's funny because I also have a bad habit of checking blogs that I DESPISE (for various reasons) on a daily basis but I think Fashionista is so BAD (and frankly boring) that I usually forget about it.
@ndngrl: I think that's an attempt at "charisma."
Ugh, I'm sorry and I don't like to be mean, but Faran has really awful, mediocre style. And I KNOW Cathy Horyn and Suzy Menkes are total schlubs but at LEAST they don't act like they know how to dress themselves. Faran blogs like the fifth member of SATC, you would expect alot more sartorially.
The pink dress is my beloved Roland Mouret!
@moonagirl: Also, all the downtown hipsters in Manhattan literally looked like they walked out of a Nirvana video. Girls are even wearing liberty-print dresses and faded denim jackets. Pretty crazy.
@moonagirl: If you read Teen Vogue you'll see that Doc's and flannel are in for the teen set. They even have this pair of floral-print Docs that are tres cute.
@lolly71: Exactly. That's what I was getting at. If you have curves and like/are confident in your shape, I think it's SUPER sexy to wear something fitted and sleek vs. covering them up with baggy clothes.
@misstr-ASSshan-ASS: Agreed!
@hortense: I disagree. What about curvy pins-ups or even Marilyn Monroe? They were larger (sizes 8-12) and always wore tight fitting sheaths and looked fab.
@BiscuitDoughJones: Riiiight?
Yes I prefer lady-like fitted dresses over the sack-like, juvenile babydoll, although they make it hard to walk. I wore a VERY tight Roland Mouret F.21 knock off to my uncle's wedding and I felt like I had to make baby steps for risk of popping a seam.
@blackbirdfly: I know! Isn't it so warm-and-fuzzy over here?? I feel the same way. I recently looked at Gawker's comments and forgot how it's so competitavely snarky and immediately ran back to Jez.
@medialady: Yeah, that's how I am with alcohol. : /
@polythenepam: I am a very fickle smoker, and when I do, it's usually one cigarette when I get home from work and that's it. I'm not a social smoker and I don't like to smoke when I drink (which is common.) Sometimes I will go months without smoking at all.
On a side-note she is such a lame-ass dresser. She dresses for someone about 5 years older than her and much too conservatively for my taste.
@cannotedit: This is very true. As they say "black don't crack;" I work with TONS of older attractive black and Hispanic women with flawless skin and godbless em' they could be any age between 30-50 and I wouldn't know.
Yeah she needs to stop with the incessant smoking. Fair-skinned blonde smokers do not age well.
