It should be science but it IS politics. People insisting that “deniars” be thrown in jail aren’t practicing science, they’re hunting witches and heretics, and that implies serious doubts about their position.

That is correct. The science posts ranting about how humans are so disgustiing aliens won’t come here and we “mess up” everything and so on are simply going to turn more and more people against science or at least science journalists. Just knock that stuff off and present the facts as you see them.

This shows the flaw in vast centralized power systems, where a small glitch can bring down otherwise intact huge areas, rather than smaller and even individual systems.

Science writers don’t garner it much support by this constant drumbeat of things like “humans manage to screw everything up for other species” and other negative, self-hating statements. Like it or not, religion makes people feel positive even without actually curing any diseases or improving urban sprawl.

Such things would be far less common if divorce weren’t welfare for women at men’s expense.
