All I want is that the DLC 2 for Breath of the Wild puts Revali into an Arwing and lets me fly Star-Fox style though Hyrule, shooting things, all while Revali says Falco quotes like “I guess I should be thankful”.

To be fair, didn’t they update the 3DS one with new content fairly recently?
It’s not exactly that, but Metroidvania-ness was introduced in the Zero and ZX series.
A check of the credits for both games and comparing them for the same names might give clues. I’m too lazy to do it right now at 2AM though...
True, the Wii U one wasn’t as fun...
If you think Megaman 7 was bad (I didn’t like it either), you should never touch Megaman X7. 7 is a cursed number for Megaman...
I fondly remember drinking a beer with friends while playing the Wii version of WarioWare (which for some magical reason, still continued to pop out new microgames we’ve never seen, even after playing it for hours), just to spill out beer out of my mouth because of some hilarious unexpected thing in the game.
Hah. I simulated that experience already by having played the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild (100%-ing shrines, and also around 150 Korok seeds, like Reggie), then buying a Switch that was suddenly in stock in a store which I never expected, rebuying Breath of the Wild, and right now replaying it again...
Zelda: Spirit Tracks, and it was awesome.
I suppose he isn’t really the closest at the source though. Sure, he definitely knows about things in development, but as the head of the US branch, I’m pretty sure there’s a ton of people at Nintendo in Japan, who are even higher up and closer to any real decision making.
Disgaea 5 Complete on Switch actually has trophies, so developers are really free to do that. It’s just not a unified system built into the OS/API.
You want another “Super Princess Peach”?
Iteration is part of what made Megaman great though. It was this, yeah you jump in, you know the gist, but there’s 8 new robot masters. Frankly all the new shit Megaman could do each game was pretty superfluous gimicks (except sliding, I loved sliding).
WarioWare was such a great game to play with friends while totally drunk though.
So, 4 times as much content... with Sony and MS having around 20 games announced, that means you think that Nintendo only showed 5 games? Let’s see:
They didn’t, really. The others babbled more about why we should find particular games super-awesome, while Nintendo just showed the games, with true confidence that those speak for themselves without any presenter having to feed us the opinions we are supposed to have.
Wasn’t it bundled with a Wii Motion Plus?
I still liked New Super Mario Bros U... it was the most Super Mario World-like of the New Super Mario games... what with the interconnected full world map and so on.
Let me remind you that Super Mario World didn’t have a single regular breakable brick block, because it was set in another land. So yes, those bricks are Mushroom people.
Yeah, and I kind of really want those Ambassador games to come out regularly.
