I was always under the impression that “soccer” football was called “foot”-ball, because the ball was played with feet, not that you are “on” feet (by that definition even Hockey would be “football”). In that sense, it’s more football than the other types.

They’re also good at high quality graphics. “High quality” does not just mean high res textures and high poly count, but also getting the most out of the resolution budget you have. Plus, they are great at making shaders. Super Mario 3D World just had awesome shaders.

It might be in hindsight because the mysterious aspect (esp the sounds and music) of Zelda II certainly made it feel like Zelda to me when it first came out. Obviously it was “different”, but the main aspect of the mystery of exploration was there.
