This "analog solution" is OK but I prefer these more convenient and reliable digital solutions...

I tried to add the following by editing my original post but for some reason the edit didn't stick...

Another vote for the UpDesk! The presets for the sitting and standing positions make it possible to switch positions in about thirty seconds.

I have obtained most of my iOS apps for free or at a significant discount. Quite a few iOS apps are available at no cost right from the start. I find many discounted apps when I check Dealmac.com every morning. When I read about an app that I want to purchase and I don't need it ASAP I go to AppShopper.com and place

I was going to write a similar post until I read your recommendation.

Upgrade Number 8 is based on bad advice regarding display placement.

Thanks for the response. I thought that it might be Google Docs but lacking experience with the app I didn't know for sure...

Does anyone know what software she used to create the spreadsheet?

This "advice" is as condescending as it gets… It's perfectly natural for people to feel overwhelmed when meeting a famous person. I think that the article and some of the reader comments offer very good advice.

"I heard that in many European countries, medical records are public."

The reality is that Americans are not concerned enough with privacy issues. You don't have to be doing anything wrong to be victimized by the state and corporations. There are many historical examples of citizens forgoing personal privacy who wind up regretting it in the long-run...

An arguably more useful alternative is Orbicule's Witness, which turns any Mac with a built-in or external camera into a motion-detector that immediately sends an alert to your iPhone or iPad.

I don't expect nor really need high-fidelity sound when listening to relatively low bit-rate audio on my iPhone and iPod. Acceptable sound quality is just fine...

CanOpener seems to drop its price to $.99 on a regular basis.

There is an error regarding the "Stop the Help Viewer from Floating Over Other Windows" command.

Thomas, Fantastical is so much better than the iPhone calendar I think that you will take to it like a duck to water. It works seamlessly with Google's calendar; any changes you make to one calendar is automatically synced with the other calendar app.
