Nope! There are different subspecies of tiger - the "mutt" tigers that cheeky_cheeky is referring to are hybrids (the most common type of tiger found in captivity) and therefore not endangered as they aren't a naturally concurring species. That's why private owners can sell them on the internet and keep them in their

Christina on Grey's Anatomy gets one in spite of the wishes of her husband - it's an ongoing issue between the two of them and has been referenced in a lot of episodes. Meredith also had a miscarriage, and they're doing a good job of showing how it's coloured her experience with her current pregnancy and how she's

You realize that she can already do that, right? She can buy painkillers (including ones with codine - ACCs), cold meds, laxatives, sleeping pills, all OTC. There is no way that the actual issue here is getting medication without a doctor - when's the last time you heard the republicans raging about the availability

I'm friends with people who started a great group in Ontario called Save our Tails - they take highly adoptable dogs from southern US shelters and use volunteers to transport them back to Canada. It's an awesome system because the shelters down there are so stuffed with puppies and purebreds that they can essentially

Lemon beagles!

Now playing

The German Shepherd (Alsatian) has notoriously bad hips and hocks, in large part due to their sloping topline, and most of them will experience pain and degeneration. The breeds that this guy is basing his "American Alsatian" off of are by and large known for these issues. Hip displasyia is always going to be a

I didn't mean to come off as paternalistic or mean, I'm sorry if I did! It's just a real problem here in Canada.

I do know that - but look at the breeds they are basing it off of - all of them have congenital hip problems, including the german shepherd.

Ehh.... There are no published pennhip scores for the breed, and are already incidences of elbow dysplasia, epilepsy and severe arthritis. Not many, but based on the breed size, statistically significant. Also those things should (and are) mandated by every responsible breeder/breed association.

The shelters are PACKED with huskies and malamutes, both because of the sledding industry and because while they are gorgeous and therefore popular, they are high energy, loud, and prone to destructive separation anxiety so get dumped a lot. If you do get one, consider a rescue!

Is there not a Finnish Blustag kennels? They were recommended to a friend looking to import a dog for schutzhund.

Agreed 100 times over.

I didn't either realize until I saw a skeleton of one at the Ottawa Natural History Museum! Pooches be big.

I just can not stress enough how much there is no need for more dogs with the CRAPTASTIC hips and hocks of the modern Alsatian.

You know that there already is a breed like this, right? Tamaskans play the dogs on the show, and are a healthy, robust and well established breed in the nordic countries.

I think Maci's case is pretty different though - she seems to be financially, mentally and emotionally on her feet, and has her education and career sorted out. The other girls, not so much.

My mom gets it done - her eyelashes went grey at the same time her hair did, and she has had some nasty allergic reactions to mascaras in the past. She gets it done every two months-ish. I don't think they're using henna dye though!

I'm not hugely familiar with SCOTUS decisions, but in the Supreme Court of Canada there are a number of cases (the second Morgentaler case springs to mind), where they have openly stated in their decisions that shifts of popular opinion has played a part in the choice.

I totally agree. I get the hand on the waist all the time, and I'm always afraid that if I say something, everyone will assume I'm crazy.

Good god. That's horrifying. I generally try to board the greyhound in the middle of the pack, so that I can sit next to a woman or girl my age and hopefully not have to deal with anything more than a loud phone call, but this story is going to redouble my efforts to do so. I've had some creeps, but never anything
