The comment didn’t stay grayed, but honestly I’m not sure what people expected out of the hearing. Unless there are prior scandals to pick at, SCOTUS nominee hearings have been very rote affairs for a long time.

Her repetitive non-answers on basically on the questions (all in almost exactly the same format) would in any sensible place be cause for dismissing her as a nomination.
