Allen is the exception to the rule, and he is quick to admit it. Can you name more than a handful of openly conservative actors who still get work?

NDGT is a scold. always has been. if this is the worst thing he does that bothers you, you’re not paying attention.
if this is at the top of someone’s list of Terrible Terrible Things, clearly all the world’s problems have been solved.
a) is correct, at least on the scale facebook makes money. FB wouldn’t be worth just south of $100 billion if they couldn’t. maybe a billion or 2 if they just did scattershot ads. the only reason companies advertise with them is because their ads are in front of eyes that are in the market for their product.
very cool, especially when it’s made from an actual race car. his was made from a lotus.
There had been a thirty year long partisan effort to rehabilitate his national image. Any news of his boorish behaviour ever since just seems to disappear down the rabbit hole. And there were plenty of those if you were paying attention and didn’t blink.
why not. he’s played every other character in that show - and a robot.
Lucy has pulled that football away too many times. I’ll believe it when I watch it.
8 eps is probably just enough to not be disappointed. always a zoey fan, I like anything she’s in and hated the season she was written out of.
“If Ted Kennedy had driven a Volkswagen, he’d be president today”
spoken like a boomer. It’s an age thing. Chappaquiddick hasn’t gotten any press other than throwaway bill maher quips and the like in 40 years. Had he tried to run for anything other than his safer than safe mass senate seat, it would surely have been huge news more often, but anyone born after 1980 wouldn’t know it…
Didn’t he declare a run to primary Jimmy Carter? it didn’t go far, but I’m pretty sure he tried it.
policy wise, he would be a moderate neo-con today. he did lobby for income tax reform, and was an staunch anti-communist hawk. He was unconcerned with civil rights until it started to get violent in the south, and was killed before he could do anything about it.
If I get the urge, I’ll just look up his imdb profile.
“a car accident which resulted in the drowning of 28-year-old campaign specialist Mary Jo Kopechne and effectively derailed Kennedy’s plan to run for president in 1972"
pretty sure Mewes only source of income is Jay residuals and the occasional appearance on Comic Book Men.
I was wondering if anyone else caught that.
did I miss something? he swings a hammer, not an axe, right?
the best thing about Legion, and the only thing that kept me watching, was Aubrey Plaza. If they minimize her role(s), I don’t know if I can keep watching.
I didn’t think you were all that critical, just enjoying the chat. I’m not a JCS expert nor even much of a musical theater fan, but I looked up the Mostel movie version and well, I don’t know, he just wasn’t very menacing, was he? clearly that was what Rice and Webber were going for, I guess. I think I liked AC better…
