@madjack1987: Great point. Americans are so insular that most have no idea how behind we are in cell phone technology, service, and costs.

@BeefSupreme: A couple of caveats on this. With regard to the shower, it probably won't save anything because those who shower will adjust to get it as warm as they did before, using more 130 degree water. Net savings would be zero for that.
@07.rain: Not so much. If you follow a few rules and leak test everything using soapy water (look for bubbles), gas plumbing is not very dangerous.
The problem with this design is that it's missing something important. Gas grills have lava rocks or some kind of steel baffles under the grill that the gas flames heat. Drippings from above vaporize on this hot surface and give the food much of the grilled flavor. Without that, drippings collect at the bottom (messy…
Nice little project and very clever design, but do it for the DIY fun, not for the economics. This is no Egg when you're done and for $260 (not a lot more than this project) you can get a Weber Smoky Mountain that is better than this. The Weber is no Egg either but it's a well-loved smoker that works really well and…
@pschroeter: Yes, yes! Please!!
@christos: Very unlikely. Even if there were proof of mysterious nasty chemicals getting into the water, it's higher temperatures that enhance chemical processes.
@milesgary1: They know about this and are working on a fix.
Numerous companies now offer iPhone repairs, too. And an interesting note is that in the SF Bay area, Watchcare (a franchise that repairs watches, specializing in battery replacement) has been advertising broken iPhone repair. I don't remember the price but it was pretty reasonable.
@moe52: Ahhh, I commented too soon. It seemed better but it's not.
I don't need a photo to tell me I am a pig. That's my wife's job.
Street Slide is brilliant! It shows a lot of info in an intuitive interface. Would be especially easy with a touch interface.

Great! I was definitely seeing a slowness and close to wiping and restoring the whole phone. This tip worked for me. Thanks, LH!
@wtfnuggets: One page, most def. Death to Gallery View!!
Microsoft is saying the right things — and the video is smart, modern, and compelling. Finally. I hope and pray the product delivers what they're promising. Would love to see a Microsoft product I don't have to wrestle.
Yay! This is the one thing I miss when switching from Firefox (where I use Tree Style Tab) and Chrome!
This is a simplistic view. For indoor shots, it is generally correct — the shadows are the problem areas.
I label my iPods the same way.
Think: Costco! (Or Sam's or Smart and Final...). Not just for cost but for quality. Costco generally only has whatever is in season and when it comes to produce, quantity and quality and low price all come together!
