I don’t think it’s that Stryker is shoe-horned to justify a Wolverine cameo, I think it’s that Singer is overly obsessed with Styker, viewing him as his contribution to the X-Men mythos. Because even though Singer didn’t invent Styker, he did take an obscure character from the comics and make him integral to the

I thought the suggestion was he was just fine, given we see him escaping Stryker/Trask in Vietnam. Plus, Magneto’s helmet is in that case, but it certainly didn’t mean Magneto was dead.

What? When did they say Havok died in DoFP? Most of the other mutants from First Class died (and were vivisected by Trask), but I thought Havok was one of the ones that survived? He was in Vietnam with Toad and the others, and escaped from the army camp when Mystique impersonated Stryker.

I remember when they were casting this thing, they made a big deal about this newcomer Lana Condor playing, Jubilee (They trotted her out with the main cast). A year later and we have zero dialog and zero action shots...seems like the role may have been reduced to a glorified cameo ala, well, all the other Singer

Aw, dang. I’d be more excited for an X-Men: Age of Set-Ups for Jokes in Deadpool II movie than this thing.

The biggest tragedy in this movie is definitely turning Oscar Isaac from his normal Oscar Isaac self into an Ivan Ooze-themed Oscar Isaac.

This movie had better explain how rich kid Warren Worthington III ended up here.

Am I the only one seeing how badly choreographed those Mystique elbows are? She doesn’t even get close to touching either one of those guys. One moves way before she even chambers her strike

The TV’s creative team may not have known the importance of the choker, or may have goofed... or, it could be assumed that she has the ability to make it appear as if she wasn’t wearing it. This was a scene where she was alone and could let her guard down — the others weren’t, AFAIK.

That’s kind of the point; look at real life and see how the most obvious and imminent threat to civilisation as we know it is climate change yet there really isn’t substantial motivation to do much about it at all.

I have two dreams for the show:

Jon Snow: Survives Hardhomes, kills a White Walker, sends messages to all kingdoms, demands help, gets Stannis to send obsidian their way (surely Stannis got that order out before everything went to hell and they ruined The Mannis).

One of the fun things about Game of Thrones is that there are more than two sides. Certainly we’re getting hints that Arya will turn out evil (if she isn’t already) but she may not end up on the side of the White Walkers. It will be more interesting if the House of Black & White and their Faceless God stay politically

I know this is already an existing theory, but anyone else think that Arya is on the side of evil? The Faceless Men have to be in league somehow with the White Walkers. Death, and resurrection, and all of that, it’s been shown very clearly that the White Walkers are tied to death and resurrection, and all about it. So

This episode confirmed my theory last season that all non-Wall storylines are pointless and boring. I love Peter Dinklage and Iain Glen and I can’t care about their stories. There is an army of Ice Demons, right there, about to invade. Who sits on the throne, or who’s getting revenge on who, it just feels pointless

Yes! Exactly. Everyone agreed that scene was so strange for reasons that were hard too articulate. If you understand that what we the viewers saw was, ahem, somewhat different from what Selyse as a “true believer who didn’t need the magic” was seeing, it makes MUCH more sense.

Sansa might be my favorite character. I’m so fascinated with her change from a girl obsessed with fairy tales and romance to a woman who is going to fuck shit up as soon as she gets an ounce of power.

Dany totally forgot her audience for a minute there. Dothraki don’t give two fucks about a Queen.

I think it tells us something important, though. Melisandre has been doing what she does for a very, very, very long time. So for her to face a crisis of faith now, after all that time presumably having it continue unshaken, is that much more significant.

It's TV-MA. You knew the risks
