Agree. I will say that the adaptive difficulty balance is really well done because I’m finishing most encounters with just a few bullets left and one or no healing items (e.g. I’m down to sliver of health and the next enemy will drop a green herb guaranteed).

I’ve beaten every version except the HD remaster and even I have to admit the “Normal” mode seems slightly dialed up (more enemies, less ammo, etc.) so it’s not just you. The worst thing you can do is pick a corner and take potshots unless you’re good at capping knees and using melee... you’re better off constantly

We’ve come a long way from the original Resident Evil 4's universal double-hinged doors

It’s true that both Horizon games have had unfortunately timed releases but they do extremely well sales-wise over the long term. Forbidden West is still due for a PC release, and that recent collab with Lego likely drew some interest (not to mention the upcoming TV show). I personally loved the second game, even if

I think they’re saving the “imagination” sequence for a certain scene in season 2, which is why they chose not to do it here. Otherwise, people (mainly non-gamers) would probably say they went to the same well twice.

If they were going to deviate from the source material, this was a hell of a beautiful way to do it. Also, they snuck in the giraffe music from the game after the final meal 😭.

I’m gonna give it a shot (pun intended). I just hope the humor carries from the original which was low key funny.

As a FANG main, it’s always good to see lower tier characters win tourneys.

Skeledirge looks like a combination of the Cart Titan + Colossal Titan

Just imagine you’re playing aboard PlayStation Airlines and you should be good to go

Intel’s GPUs were found to actually be quite performant and even better in some cases for newer games, but quite bad with older games (due to driver compatibility).

Did not realize how big of a gamer he was! Jak & Daxter is one of my all-time faves. A Dead Space film directed by Carpenter with practical effects would be amazing.

I’ve been reading The Creative Gene (a collection of book and movie reviews by Kojima himself) and the man really does seem to be an amalgamation of every piece of media he’s ever come across.

All you had to do was follow the damn string, CJ!

I think a mix of old-school with PLA’s gameplay loop would the best way forward. A semi-open world (or even entirely open-world) like PLA but go to a different screen during battle so that the camera’s dynamic again instead of stuck behind the protagonist and bring back Abilities and Pokemon being able to hold items.

Reminds me of another obscure, Japanese-only game called Mizzurna Falls

I knew this was going to happen, similar to PT. Wonder if it’ll make already scarce PS5s and Series Xs more valuable.

While I’m in the camp that the original still holds up, they’re clearly positioning this more as a system seller. I expect PS5 bundles similar to the Horizon Forbidden West bundle. The trailer for the HBO show might even be ready around the launch date.

I think it’s just Capcom capitalizing on fans who were converted by 7 and Village who would like to play 4 with modern mechanics/graphics. I personally think the original holds up fine (except the stopping-to-shoot). If you think about it, RE1 was remade only 6 years after the original. This one’s obviously 17-18

It really doesn’t help with the AAA games we’re getting for free. For example, XCOM 2, Prey, Bioshock Collection, and now God of War 2018.
