I know some people who skipped out on Mario Sunshine because curiously, there were no options to invert the camera. Hopefully they added it this time around.

Just got my first platinum this year too! It was for FFVII Remake, changing the language for the second playthrough made it feel fresh again. I also got TLOU2 which wasn’t too bad, and I’m about to get one for Spyro 3 (a game I missed out on as a kid).

Been playing fighting games for over two decades. I still think Nina’s theme from Tekken 3 is one of the most fitting for a character (on par with Guile’s theme)

It’s weird, isn’t Death Stranding running great on PC? How is the creator of the Decima engine having issues compared to Kojima Productions (to be fair, the enemies in that game seem less graphically intensive)?

I love the new stuff, you can tell his sound evolved quite a bit. This one’s pretty good (hard to believe it’s from 1995!)

I agree with Chris, it’s context-dependent for me. If it helps with atmosphere, I usually go a step above the default difficulty (e.g. TLOU2, Resident Evil 2/3 helps me manage inventory and plan encounters better). I think harder difficulties also help you learn get more invested in the mechanics instead of going

True, I don’t necessarily think it should be the “I beat the game” trophy/achivement, especially for open world games. Maybe something like obtaining 25% of trophies/achievements would be a better indication of having played a good portion of a game.

Interesting suggestion in the Forbes article where you log in with your PSN/Live/Steam account. Imagine if Metacritic verifies that you earned the trophy/achievement that you usually get when you beat a game in order to write a review.

Great point about using lighting as a waypoint, particularly in the forest section. So on top of being an intuitive form of guiding the player, it’s also ND subtly flexing their technical mastery on a 7 year old console.

What in tarnation happened to the character’s hair? Is that a legit hairstyle in the game? It’s hilarious.

Last line of defense

The Pokemon he gives increase in quality as well. By the time he gives you an Alolan starter, it has 3IVs and its Hidden Ability (if you’re into competitive battles). The Alolan Diglett he gives you has perfect IVs, its Hidden Ability and the right nature (Jolly, not that Alolan Dugtrio is as useful as other mons).

Super tempted to replay. Still blows my mind that one of the dungeon themes is an R&B song.

Na fam they gotchu

Not to mention Horizon looks to be coming out soon on Steam...I might seriously consider replaying again.

GG everyone, D&D was popular this week!
