Oh yeah, that one is totally true. But then, Aphex Twin genuinely IS a trickster in a way Radiohead are not.

Not to mention that on the album where all of this was revealed, 'In Rainbows', the last song is 'Videotape'.

Wait, are you suggesting that's *not* true? Haven't you read my blog about this? There's a reason their next album is called 'Kid A', after all, and begins with 'Everything In It's Right Place': it's about the rebirth of the band, where everything - including the 'singer' - is exactly where it should be.

Thom is very angry that it took you this long to get it. After all, 'The Trickster' predates all of these songs, so you should've been looking out for the patterns. Before 'Ok Computer' even came out, we already had all the information we needed to know that 'In Rainbows' would complete the message from the band.

Did you know that if you play the bonus track thing at the end of Kid A at 250% speed, it's actually the opening notes of Creep played backwards?

I can't believe how many people believe that rubbish.

It was spoiled for me too, although less specifically. I caught The Shield on dvd, and most of the way through season five I bought season six. The first line of the blurb on the back cover is something 'Still reeling from Lem's death…'.

Wait: that poster is real? Too much effort for something created just to mock, but that's actually really real?

No movie I've ever seen divided my friends as much as Capturing the Friedmans. Saw it with a group of about six, and I think every single one of us had a different set of feelings and opinions afterwards.

Maybe someone could do season five in a week or two, and then resume normal coverage with six and seven?

Scoop IS great fun, mostly because Ian McShane is wonderful. And I don't normally have opinions one way or another about Hugh Jackman, but he was great there.

Oh thank you. The narration in Vicky Cristina Barcelona was amongst the worst things I've ever experienced in film. (I actually spent part of the movie trying to figure out if it was intended to be a joke.)
"They spent time in the cafes, and thought them good. They saw the work of artist X, and found it beautiful".

You are 100% correct, sir. I meant to add that.

This episode also contains one of my all-time favourite exchanges:

I should've qualified that, since I still think of Erin as a 'new character', plus wasn't there a couple introduced in season seven? Seriously, I really have to rewatch that season, because my memory of it is worse than of shows I haven't actually seen…

thanks. the finale has gotten multiple recommendations, and my OCD would never allow me to skip everything between now & there…

Thanks. The whole concept of season nine's story does intrigue me, but then I also remember that it's also full of characters I either haven't heard of or don't care about… Don't know why, really. They always had such a good supporting cast that could've been better used…

hmm, that's what I'm afraid of, in a way. watching two seasons out of obligation (/a sense that I need to finish it) might bring some laughs & a few episodes I genuinely like. On the other hand, it might also cause me to lose affection for a show that I genuinely did love in its early seasons.

thanks. that's largely what I thought was consensus. I couldn't bring myself to watch nine without eight, though…

I don't know where else to put this question, so I'll ask it here:
