I know these feelings. I won’t say how fast I went, and to be honest wasn’t really prepared to take my eyes off the road. I will say that the top speed of the modified 996 turbo S I bought will get you down the section of i10 between El Paso and San Antonio very quickly.

obligatory,

Am I alone being heavily reminded of this oddball?

This was Porsche of North Houston during Harvey,

Or, as Porsche of North Houston did during Harvey.

HEY! that first 959 has SAT-NAV! cheeky simple interiors.

Thanks mate,

A lot of my clients lost at least part of their collections, some really cool stuff in a few cases. That being said, the major car storage facilities for the really high end stuff were all above the water.

Sealy, about an hour West.

Hey friend! Not sure who you are, but heres an update on my shop (Modern Aircooled).

We got lucky, Water came up an inch from the door, but dragging a half dozen railway sleepers and tables out of the creek next door allowed it to drain away without incident.

-.-

I wouldnt call the first gen PDK an improvement!

They’ve ‘addressed it’ on every motor, only with varying degrees of success. The M96/M97 motors are virtually identical. They have a bunch of tweaks, and minor changes, but the architecture and the way its put together remained the same. Every flat six pre-2009 (and a few post 09 as well!) had an intermediate shaft,

My turbo S had a black, full leather interior. It was simple, and fine. Never once worried me.

more subjectively, I don’t agree with the looks/interior either, but I know most people would definitely agree with what you said.

I don’t necessarily agree with you there They’re fundamentally the same car underneath, motor, trans, suspension, brakes etc There isn’t a whole lot to be gained with the 997 over the 996, they have an almost identical list of issues. Every client of mine that has gone from a 996 Carrera to a 997 Carrera has been

Every. Single. Last. Lotus.

We are very at home in the neighbourhood, pic for reference.
