Another thing, using a APS-C sensor uses the innermost of a standard 35mm lens(in other words less optical bend in the lens), great for sharp telephoto images.

Uhhh... call me stupid, but shouldn't they have a slot for the ipad in the front and not for an iphone. To be honest that looks really stupid. You can't focus on a 3" screen when you're driving.
