I’m really only here for the David Tracey, Andrew Collins, and Tom McParland articles. Every time I go back to reading a Shilling or Brownell article it’s the same shitty takes regurgitated over and over again. Even when I actually agree with them their schtick is so painful to read.

This makes perfect sense. Truck sales correlate to areas where the state governments were actively denying the fucking reality of needing to shut down, especially republican governors. I fully expect truck sales to plummet now that those states are getting their shit together, but not before their residents will

Trump is primarily concerned with his TV ratings. What a terrible president.

Ventilators on Amazon for $500 dollars? The only ones I see are for things like sleep apnea and oxigen concentration. These are NOT suitable for people with a life threatening breathing issue like those COVID-19 patients suffer from.

I dunno about you buy I’ve been self-medicating with whiskey for the last two weeks.

Did you ever consider that there might be significant cost involved in modifying auto plants to build ventilators? It isn’t realistic to expect that they could build a product completely different from what they currently produce without substantial cost.

Tell that bum MostDispleased - I’m winning at science. I have thoughts on this. I suspect the solution to the corollavirus will be science. I’d probably give myself a B+, maybe an A on science. It might even be an A+, I don’t know. I have a 10 year old son, he does well in the science. And that’s because of me.

Oh come on now, Trump is the voice the country needs, let me explain: every time he tells a lie, we all drink a shot. The country will be so effin’ drunk after 30 seconds of him talking that we’ll all forget about the virus and generally have a good time!

It’s gray.

Jalopnik is one of the very few outlets that does not agree to informational embargoes. That means that other outlets sign extensive non-disclosure agreements, agreeing to sit on information for days, weeks, sometimes months in advance, and not say a peep about it until a manufacturer’s marketing team says they can.

I took it so in stride that I didn’t question it until reading your commen. I think it’s ready for a refresh....

My jaw dropped when I saw the bad CGI. Then I looked at the timestamp and realized I was only at 2:19! This is amazing

What in the fuck did I just watch

Wow.  There are no words.

Darek went to the Chicago Auto Show because, duh, cars, and spotted the striking blue GT-R—a rare 50th Anniversary Edition— at the Nissan booth.

Retire this video, it will never be more relevant than this exact post.

Boeing said MCAS was feature complete...

You can like and want a pension. They're great for the employee, if they manage to get the full pension. However over time, they end up strangling the company and the pensioners get screwed too. I've seen the financials of pensions and the companies that have them. They really are objectively unsustainable.

Neutral:

Tesla is valued like a tech company because they are growing like a tech company, and they do not have the liabilities of traditional car companies (pensions, etc).
